Bob's Family Life:
Bob is married to Debbie Ruesch, a Community Services Commissioner and a Director of Lake Mission Viejo Association.  Bob & Debbie’s daughter Kate resides in England with her family, and their son Andrew resides in Mar Vista with his family.   Bob has 3 grandsons, Luke,  Zach, and Walter.

Bob's accomplishments so far include:
  • Served as Mayor for 2025 while working with a new city staff to keep the city running smoothly.
  • Signed a $1,000,000 agreement with the Netherlands Olympic Team for their training in preparation for LA 2028.
  • He's  an advocate for crime reduction and community safety adding the FLOCK license plate reader system for faster sheriff response
  • Re-opened the new OCFA Fire Station 24 with state of the art fire equipment of better fire and emergency response.
If re-elected, his new goals are:
  • Continue to reserve the Mission Viejo lifestyle while fighting Sacramento special interests.
  • Keep Mission Viejo's budget balanced.
  • Continue working with police services on crime reduction and community safety. 
  • Safeguard developments from heightened traffic related issues.
  • Continue development and growth of local business in Mission Viejo by engaging other international Chamber of Commerce organizations.
  • Continue to monitor sober living homes for the safety of our residents and the people living within.
  • Keep upgrading our many parks with updated equipment and design ​

  • Board member of Orange County Fire Authority
  • Worked on Reagan White House Presidential Task Force

  • Business owner and senior executive marketing and sales officer
  • Boy Scout leader and Eagle Scout Advisor for 25 years
