Bob's Family Life:
Bob is married to Debbie Ruesch, a Community Services Commissioner and a Director of Lake Mission Viejo Association.  Bob & Debbie’s daughter Kate resides in England with her family, and their son Andrew resides in Mar Vista with his family.   Bob has 3 grandsons, Luke,  Zach, and Walter.

Bob's accomplishments so far include:
  • Chairing the Planning and Transportation Commission during the purchase of the Oso Creek Golf Course, revising the Economic Development Element, and beginning implementation of the Core Area Vison Plan and Public Space and Land Use Elements.
  • Bob voted against the Garden Plaza zoning change and adding 5G repeaters to the Canyon Crest water tower.
  • He's  an advocate for crime reduction and community safety.
  • When the pandemic closed Senior Services from the City, Bob advised Mission Viejo about senior mental health issues and assisted in the identification and delivery of food supplies to those in need.

​If elected, his goals are:
  • Preserve the Mission Viejo lifestyle.
  • Keep Mission Viejo's budget balanced.
  • Work with police services on crime reduction and community safety. 
  • Safeguard developments from heightened traffic related issues.
  • Support development and growth of local business in Mission Viejo.
  • Continue to monitor sober living homes for the safety of our residents and the people living within.
  • Work closely with the Lake Association to clean the water, and bring back fishing. ​
